Guanajuato Mexican Restaurant & Tequila Bar is the brainchild of Margarita Challenger and Jovanny Diaz. Born in Mexico, they missed the flavors of their home region, Guanajuato, when they moved to the north suburbs of Chicago.

Focusing on fresh, seasonal ingredients and traditional cooking techniques, they have been bringing a little taste of Mexico to the North Shore for over a decade.
